Grief Encounter provide a lifeline for bereaved children, young people and their families across the UK, helping them live again, with grief. At the darkest time of their lives, the charity brings light and hope to their ‘new normal’. Their wide range of clinical services aim to give the right support at the right time, so young people can go on to lead full and happy lives. Grief Encounter envisage a society where every bereaved child has access to help when they need it most
Stephen Okrent Shared Grief Foundation is raising funds in aid of Grief Encounter to support the vital work that they do. Together, we will support bereaved families and develop new ways to remember loved ones and also develop new wellbeing grief support services.
Grief Encounter is a registered charity (1175837)
Our family tragically lost our darling Stephen suddenly to Covid 19 at the age of 53. We didn’t know where to turn to with the grief that we were experiencing. We are creating a project in his memory which will offer services in the area of wellbeing and sharing grief.
Our family will be working with Grief Encounter to support the delivery of, and income towards, these new services. For more information please take a look at our About Page above.
Stephen was a much loved son, father, brother and husband who was kind, loving, generous and impulsive. He always looked out for those that needed help. We know that Grief Encounter would have been a charity that he would have admired. It is an honour to raise money for Grief Encounter and keep his name and memory alive in the process.
Your donation will help fund these new services as well as the essential existing work that Grief Encounter do. The charity rely entirely on voluntary donations. Please help us to achieve our target to raise over £150,000 to support their essential work.
